Hire Me Western gives skilled job seekers in the Western region the opportunity to showcase their skills. Submit your video pitch and let local employers know why they should hire you. Get noticed by top employers in the region and also get the chance to win some GREAT tech prizes (valued at over $2000).

If this is you, click the button below to create your profile and submit your pitch!

How it works: Skilled job seekers  in the Western region* create a profile and submit a 30-60 second-long video of themselves outlining why a local employer should hire them. Employers in the region will be looking at the video pitches and could request resumes and more information from participants. A panel of external community judges  will select the contest winners. All participants will receive a referral to the Connector Program and to their local NS Works office.

Pitches: 30-60-second “elevator pitch” on why a company should hire you. Include basic information about yourself and speak to your educational and professional background and skills. The panel will be looking for professionalism, clarity, poise, imagination and creativity used in the video. For more information, check out Section 3 in the Official Rules for “pitch criteria”. Pitches are easy to do and upload and Miranda can help walk you through it. Check out the pitch section below for the link to winners in other competitions, Tristin’s Pitch Tips,  Miranda’s pitch to job seekers, and the Event Brite link to the Pitch Tip Workshop.

Prizes: 1st place: 13″ Lenovo convertible lap top, 2nd place: Lenovo Chromebook, 3rd place: Apple Air Pods
