New Focus: Apprenticeships in the Skilled Trades

We’re excited to introduce a new focus within the Connector Program: Apprenticeships in the Skilled Trades.
This initiative connects motivated job seekers (Conectees) —those eager to start a career in the skilled trades—with employers (Connectors) ready to take on apprentices. Join the Connector Program to meet local employers and start your journey as an apprentice in Western Nova Scotia’s skilled trades sector.
It’s about more than filling positions; it’s about finding the right fit between businesses, Journeypersons, and potential Apprentices to ensure long-term success for everyone involved.
By building strong local connections, we’re helping to grow the skilled trades workforce in Western Nova Scotia—one meaningful apprenticeship at a time.
Looking to hire an apprentice or begin your journey in the trades?
Let us help you make the right connection.

The Original Connector Program Is Still Available
While our new Apprenticeship focus takes center stage, the original Connector Program remains active on a referral basis. If you’re a job seeker or employer looking to connect outside of the trades, reach out to us directly—we’d love to hear from you.
