Western REN Community Connection Coming to Digby
Western REN is continuing to hit the road with Community Connection — our new outreach initiative that brings the REN team directly into the communities we serve.
Our next stop will be in Digby on Thursday, September 18, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the CBDC Digby offices, 68 Water Street Digby.
This half-day visit is a chance for local entrepreneurs, business owners, and community members to connect with us face-to-face. Whether you’re curious about our programs, looking for advice, or just want to share what’s happening in your business, we’d love to talk with you.
What to Expect
During Community Connection in Digby, you can:
- Drop in to chat with our team at the CBDC offices
- Learn about programs like BusinessNow, Apprenticeship & Skilled Trades, Digital Transformation, and more
- Ask questions about succession planning, workforce support, or community integration
- Arrange one-on-one conversations with staff for tailored guidance
Why We’re Doing This
At the Western REN, we believe strong relationships start with showing up. Every community in our region has unique strengths, opportunities, and challenges. Community Connection gives us the chance to listen, build stronger relationships, and make sure our programs are as accessible and useful as possible. So drop in, ask questions, and explore how we can support their goals.
But Community Connection goes beyond a simple drop-in. Throughout the day, our staff will also be visiting local businesses, holding one-on-one meetings, and engaging face-to-face with the people who drive our regional economy.
What can we talk about?
In short – everything! Community Connection is your opportunity to connect with us on a wide range of programs and initiatives, including:
BusinessNow Support – helping businesses navigate challenges and opportunities.
Continuous Improvement (CI) – tools to streamline operations and strengthen competitiveness.
Business Transition (BT) – support for succession planning and future-proofing.
Apprenticeship & Skilled Trades Programs – building the next generation of talent.
Immigrant Workforce & Community Integration – connections and resources to welcome and retain newcomers.
Digital Transformation & AI Programs – preparing businesses for the future of technology.
Dark Sky T’Railway through Get Side-Tracked – linking businesses to new tourism opportunities.
…and much more.
Why it matters
Western REN is here to work for you — and with you. By meeting businesses and community members where you are, we hope to make our programs more accessible, build stronger relationships, and better understand the opportunities and challenges across our region.
