Western, NS, April 15, 2021

The Western Regional Enterprise Network (REN) is pleased to announce that Miranda MacLean is the successful candidate to fill the role of the Connector Program Manager. MacLean started her new position on April 12, 2021.

The Connector Program matches community and business leaders with skilled newcomers, local and international graduates, and other qualified professionals in their industry of expertise with the goal of helping job seekers build their professional networks.

MacLean has previously worked as a Residential Supervisor with the Conway Workshop Association and the Tri-County Women’s Centre. She has a history of working in the Non-profit industry with experience in Skilled Facilitation, Program Development, and Community Outreach.

“I’m very excited for this opportunity,” said Miranda MacLean. “In this role, I’ll be able to draw on my previous experience. I’m looking forward to taking on this new role with the Western REN and working with community members and businesses in the Western region.”

The Western Connector Program was one of the first of the National Connector programs to be run in a rural region. Since 2017, the program has matched more than 160 Connectees (job seekers) with nearly 190 Connectors (local business leaders), to grow their professional networks. The program continues to play an integral part in helping the region grow and retain skilled talent.
