What an October! From welcoming two Cruise Ships to Yarmouth Harbour to Small Business Week to Nova Scotia Music Week, things were definitely hopping, and Western REN was proudly there through it all. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the region’s very busy October possible!

Employers: One Last Chance to Have Your Say
In October the Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) of Western Nova Scotia, administered by the Western REN, conducted three surveys to gather community input that will guide its next three-year strategic plan aimed at three different groups – Employers, Newcomers and the general community. Input from these surveys will help the LIP and its partners create strategies that focus on retention, community engagement, and long-term prosperity.
Although time has run out for the overall surveys, we are keeping the Employers Survey Open for a bit longer to make sure everyone has had a chance to have their voice heard. If you are an employer in the Western Region, could you take 5 minutes to fill it out?
